About us

RnP Experience in Dog Care

Our pets need an environment where they can be dogs. The environment that is built to meet their needs as per their natural behaviour (ethology).

We are doing this through our spaces. Our focus on understanding of dogs and dog-human relationship has helped us design our spaces, processes and services to meet the needs of the dog’s world.

Understanding the Dog's world

"Historically, training has been about curbing dogs’ instinctive behaviours in order to replace them with more ‘civilized’ behaviours that make canine presence acceptable in an anthropocentric world; …The past decade or so can be characterized by increased attention paid to the dog’s emotions, recognition of the dog’s significant otherness, respect for the dog as a sentient being (Pregowski 2015)… Justyna Wlodarczyk (2017) Be More Dog, Performance Research, 22:2, 40-47,"

We believe that the world belongs to all species. Dogs are a special specie as they have coevolved with humans and become our companions. It’s just right that we re-look at our world and make it a better place for the dogs too, instead of making them adjust to our world. We propagate this belief by investing in educating our team and the dog-parents to the needs of the dog, having the courage to reject adopting the current bouquet of popular services in the market and create new ones based on our understanding of canine ethology and learnings from the pilots and experiments we do in our spaces.

Wellbeing for Dogs

"The animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with extension of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren; they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendor and travail of the earth."
~Henry Beston, The Outermost House, 1928

We help you with mindful, dog-centric parenting. We have an enriching environment that provides the holding space for dogs to be safe and exhibit their natural behaviour – helping them to regulate themselves and be calm. This sensory environment at RnP also gives your dog opportunities to express her natural behaviour, giving her more control over her physical and social environment and being mentally and physically satisfied.

The environment also helps in enriching and deepening dog-human connection.

You will notice we do not offer Training services. There is a very specific reason for that. Moving away from the mainstream beliefs in the Dog behaviour field, we offer building and enriching the human-dog connection through collaboration and communication.
