RnP Parent Speak | Poco, The Badmaash Beagle
Rocks and Pebbles Rocks !!! We truly are grateful for the wonderful care that the team at RnP takes of our cherished kid - Poco (our 1.9 year old Beagle). When we were searching for a suitable pet boarding and day care for our Poco, we wanted an environment which is safe, healthy as well as an environment which gives him the freedom to enjoy. Ever since our first visit to RnP till now, we have had absolutely no cause for complain. We still remember an occasion where Poco had suffered an injury while he was being boarded as we have to go somewhere out of station. The team took him to the vet, got his treated and kept him in isolation from other dogs while he was healing. There was always one bhaiya who used to be by his side and attending and caring for him. Poco really loves going to school everyday and eagerly waits near the door at the scheduled pick up time. He has his own set of friends with whom he plays and has fun. He loves the food, the bhaiya’s, the care and comfort at RnP. It’s truly a home away from home for him when we are not around. Wishing RnP continued success in their endeavour- Shankar & Maithraye

RnP Parent Speak | Sabina, Sultan’s Mom
My Journey with rocks n pebbles started when sultan came in my life. At the age of 50, he is my first pet that too German shepherd. Just imagine a high energy big dog that too in apartment. When he was small he was really cute and obviously would love to run around and make friends with everyone. I would take him to my Parents place and he would be running in the house all day round. Staying in apartment has certain constrain for big dogs like sultan as they need every day exercise so when he was 9 months old , we sent him first time to Rocksn Pebbles as we had heard great things about this place and we dropped him there and buoy sultan fell in love with this place the very first day. It is been 2 years now Sultan has been going to Rocks n pebbles and every time Dinesh comes to pick him up he is all over him, infact he sits and waits at the door for him (don’t know how he comes to know that today he is going to meet his friends and party with them in Rocks n Pebbles .. no clue ) . He doesn’t even look back at me and say bye to me ( it is like I don’t exist and I feel sad actually jealous). It is like this Sultan loves Rocks n Pebbles and reason is obvious that he is being taken care with lots of love and affection. Whole staff makes sure that all Kiddos are safe and well taken care of in terms of safety and also FOOD. For us there is only one place to send to SULTAN .. that is RocksnPebbles. And the credit goes to Vandana for sure as she is personally involved and monitors all day to day work. She is accessible and most important she loves each one of these kiddos.

Our Simba
Sahen Upadhyay Simba for us is that ray of sunshine that has brighten up our lives. A few months back none of us thought that we'll have this beautiful baby in our lives and how he will change it for the better. We fostered Simba for a few days and the thought of giving him up broke us completely. The first day Simba came home, my mom didn't get off the dining table because that's where she thought he couldn't reach! In a matter of days, Simba won her heart. For us, Simba is a synonym for MAGIC. My mother who had never in her life touched a dog was spending her nights crying for him to come back after he got adopted by another family. But to our luck, we got him back, that day cannot be explained in words because it is the best decision of our lives, the best day of our lives. Now my mom is woken up by Simba every morning and she hugs him, kisses him, pets him, makes him sleep on her lap and what not. My dad who is, by the way, Simba's number one person, keeps calling from office checking up on him, playing with him and Simba meanwhile waits for him the entireeee day. It's at times unfair how much they love each other. Everyday at 7:00pm when my dad and Simba reunite it's as if its been years since they met, and it's the sweetest thing possible. My parents at times call me and my brother Saurav, Simba, because Simba is who we talk about all the time. Simba brings out all the love we had inside and we present all of that to him on a plate, literally. Simba brought with him a huge share of things, he has made us all more patient, more sharing, more empathetic, stronger, happier, and most importantly and weirdly, luckier. My brother has meetings all day but he'll make time for Simba because Simba is his escape from all the bad things in his life. Simba is an escape for all of us actually. Saurav who would never share his share of paneer with anyone would order extra paneer(at times give away his own share as well) so that they sit together and enjoy paneer. He has such an impact on our lives that waking up at 5 am doesn't seem so bad (at times 3:30), he looks at us as if we never feed him and his innocent face actually confuses my parents to feed him breakfast twice. Simba for me is that buddy i wake up to every morning and sit in balcony with, looking all around. He is all the positive vibes in my life combined. He's my dose of happiness. He makes life so beautiful. He is someone i tell everything to, and he never judges or complains (at least to me). He's my best friend, my little boy, my child, my family. For a long time, we

Introducing Snowy – The soul of Rocks and Pebbles
It was a cold December morning in 2019. We were barely 5 months old. I checked my messages and noticed 64 unread messages in the Rocks and Pebbles Community group. Going through them, Snowy’s story unfolded. Snowy is a 13-14 year mixed breed, abandoned dog found tied up in front of a rescuer’s shop. One of the RnP parents requested if the community can adopt him and pay for his life-long care at the Park. Within minutes, several of them came together and created a spreadsheet with contributions for Snowy and a process where this can be done in a sustainable way. All I had to do was to say Yes! We welcomed Snowy and are enriched by his continuous presence, simple needs and zeal for life. He has created his favorite spot – behind the hammock and if he is not sleeping inside, you will find him there when you visit us!

We get up early in the morning and wait for the School Bus! We love the ride in our bus - the converted black Scorpio! Sometimes we get the front seat and are the driver’s bodyguard. On arrival – we don’t forget our manners and make sure we start with the pee and poop, and mark our favourite plants, pots and corners! Run… Run… Run… Eyes only for his favorite Bhaiya, this one! Some like to Swim… Some like it not Some like it in the mud – roll and roll! Mealtime – we engage in Community Eating This is how we play – rough-rough We like the ball – but only the toxic tennis ones! Some Rest… Some should but don’t! Time to go back and wait for the next day of School! Some of us need a nudge to go ☺

Why the Name Rocks and Pebbles
Have you heard this management story of priorities and a Jar? Take an empty jar. Fill with sand. Is it full? Of course, it is! Now try putting some pebbles in it. Some do fit in, though the jar was full of sand, but most of them just fall off. How about trying some rocks? Nah! Jar already full. Now, reverse the order. Take the empty jar. Fill with Rocks. Is it full? Yup! Now try putting some pebbles. Observe how the pebbles fit into the empty spaces between the rocks. Is the jar full now? Yup again! How about now we take the sand and gently pour into the jar. It will find its way into the empty spaces and fit inside! This is life. Make sure to take care of the important things first – like friends, families, your values, relationships, health – the Rocks of your life. Pebbles are the other things that matter – like school, work. Sand represents the materialistic possessions. It is important to have your priorities right. Your wellbeing and happiness depend on the rocks and pebbles in life! Inspired by this fable, we chose this name, as this is an important part of our lives – it completes us and brings happiness to our lives. You can also refer to this video for another version of the fable
